  • How many of y'all like Vegemite? Should we give it another try???

    • Why did you guys put the butter on top?! 😂 you use it like you would peanut butter or jam (jelly) Loading the toast up with butter first helps the vegemite to spread so you use less of it and it’s much more palatable. If you decide to try it again, try it with cheese. Most Australian bakeries will make what’s called a “cheesymite scroll” which is kind of like a savoury cinnamon bun

    • Ok so you need to put the butter on first and let it melt a little and then a THIN scrape of Vegemite!! You put too much on!!

  • Once again guys you're not eating Vegemite correctly. No offence but I don't think I've seen a single American eat Vegemite properly. I'm not surprised none of you liked it 'cause if I'd eaten it the way you guys did in the video I would've had the same reaction. THIS is the correct way (only way) to eat Vegemite...First, toast a good thick slice of crusty bread such as Vienna or Ciabatta. (The stuff you were eating looked more like a cracker). Then, while the toast is still hot (hot toast is vital) slather on LOTS of butter. It is important that the butter is very firm but not hard straight from the fridge. If it's too soft it will soak into the bread and make it soggy. Bread has to remain crisp around the edges. And the butter ALWAYS goes on first. Ideally you should have little blobs of unmelted butter here and there. Lastly, take SMALL amounts of Vegemite on the tip of the knife and DAB it on in various spots over the toast between the little pockets of unmelted butter. NEVER smear it on. And you should never have big globs of Vegemite. Use sparingly. The creaminess of the butter combined with the saltiness of the Vegemite on crunchy butter soaked toast is absolute HEAVEN. I guarantee if you try it the way I have described you will love it.

  • You’re still putting too much vegemite on the toast! You’re putting as much on your toast as a born Aussie. You work up to that amount. Use it like you would use salt or pepper. Just the tiniest amount. A whisper. Fun fact- it’s SUPER good with avocado instead of butter 🥑
