The Shining rules. But since the sequel is coming soon we did our duty and went looking for sins. Found some. I bet you're surprised.
Thursday: Holiday sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

  • I'm still waiting for one where there is just a black screen after the credits with "This movie has no sins " on it.

  • What has become of this videos? Are they supposed to be funny somehow? They have become sort of party poopers, they make no sense nowadays, "this shit makes no sense", comments on this video make no sense... Movies are not supposed to make sense all the time, I used to like this videos, but this and some others have caused my unsuscription. Hope you make better in the future...

  • I feel like this guy goes to all the new movies with a journal and Pen taking notes

  • Cinema sins used Christ name in vein (ding) +1

  • 7:24 its not that they turned danny around if you look to the left of him you can seethe pattern he was playing at it still has the line the ball made as it rolled towards him hey moved him to the right one tile 1 sin for CinemaSins.

  • I have to disagree with the sin of dragging him to the pantry. She has to wait a long time if not actual months for help and she knows its the hotel and not Jack thats the problem and doesn't want to kill him. He can live in there and they can eat the food in the fridge. Thats what it says in the book and it makes sense.

  • Too much koolaid for any group of people that’s not a cult- lmao

  • Add 30 sins considering Stephen King won a lawsuit over how poorly this movie depicted the book. I want to like this movie, but I read the book first and was pissed off by how the movie was.

  • Sinning one of the most iconic scenes in movie history! The f*ck!

  • 76 is a pretty good amount...

  • Do the shining 1997 on tv sins

  • "there is no danny, only zuul" me too man

  • When I first found out her name was Wendy I was like “Peter pan!” And the. When jack said “Wendy! Darling!” I was like :0

  • In all seriousness, the thing I never really bought into was how quickly Jack went from normal guy to homicidal maniac. Nicholson's performance, as touched on in this vid, was so over the top to begin with that he never seemed like just a normal, healthy everyman.

  • The greatest error kubrik made was changing Jack Torrence to appear mentally unhinged from the outset rather than what the book depicts as a very slow descent into madness.

  • Problem is that the movie hints at a lot of backstory that IS IN THE BOOK...and left out of the movie.

  • Apparently Stephen King didn't want Jack Nicholson cast in the movie because he felt like he didn't have the ability to make the character go from straight and narrow family man to full on crazy.

    • And he was right. At no point in any film is Jack not full crazy.

  • 5:36 No, Ullman said earlier than the stretch of road leading up to the hotel was 25 miles long.

  • nice can you do full metal jacket next?

  • Most of this stuff can be chalked up to the book being both written in a way that defies tidy logic that movie audiences demand but at the same time being too iconic to alter significantly. This is the "It" conundrum... when it's explained, it loses it's awesomeness. Also the good guy rushing in just to get axe/dog/shotgun stomped is a hallmark of King horror stories.

  • Stephen King would sin the hell out of this movie

  • Each like button is a sin off for the line “HERES JOHNNY

  • Where the hell did you see the helicopter in the first frame?

  • I stopped watching this channel like 2 or 3 years ago and now I get to binge watch everything! Thank you.

  • If Jeremy tries to sin 2001, he’s shit outta luck.

  • Thank you CinemaSins. I can no longer enjoy movies.

  • CinemaSins: picks apart a month miscalculation by a character that could easily be an estimate by said character and simultaneously narrates "MAPS" instead of "math". Goteem

  • They're not twins. They are just dressed the same. Which is creepy. But doesn't make them twins.

  • They're not twins. They are just dressed the same. Which is creepy. But doesn't make them twins.

  • Is it disturbing to realise that the hotel turned jack so crazy he forgot his first name?? Like when he yelled Here’s Johnny??!!

    • "Jack" can be a nickname for "John" or "Johnathan".

  • Alright Sin Guy. You've had it too damn easy covering all these shitty films like "The Shining" and "Die Hard". I think I speak for everyone here when I say you've been challenged to the test of an actually good piece of art. The true American classic. "Beavis and Butthead Do America"

  • The real sin? A hotel in (presumably) the Rockies is CLOSED FOR SKI SEASON!?!?!?!

  • I'm tired of the f**K in your videos. I'm unsubscribing.

  • Less than 100 means it’s a great movie. Less than /80/??? Only Stanley Kubrick

  • About the twins. I dont think thats the kid that been murdured by charles gredy. Its gilbert's daughter that been dead in 1920.

  • Can someone clear up the timeline with the hotel murders? All the clues around the hotel.. the party, the picture.. all point to the 20s. But the guy at the beginning said the incident happened 1970?

  • Dumb video.

  • I’ve always been pretty sure that the frozen grub (the turkeys and chickens) is all for them as they’re going to be there for 6 months.

  • Any hotel in Colorado being closed during SKI SEASON! WTF? 10 sins.

  • I finally got the DVD

  • There is NOTHING wrong with this film....only you.

  • 5:55 ... 'What the fuck good does it do me to know it was Tuesday is I don't have a frame of reference to what day was before this?' It was Monday, dude. Before Tuesday it was Monday.

  • You missed one thing, in the bathroom scene Jack says to Mr. Grady that he read in the newspaper that Grady killed his family, how could this be possible if Mr. Ullman was the first person to tell Jack about the 1970 incident? When Ullman asked Jack if he heard about the tragedy that happened in 1970 Jack said he hadn’t heard about it, therefore he never read it in the newspaper! There’s another Kubrick mistake for you.

  • You’re sinning things deliberately put in the movie to make the viewer more uneasy. Sin yourselves for that.

  • The guy in the bear costume is sick but the USA has been so plunged into depravity since 1980 they make videos to try to convince people that it is normal.

  • Okay seriously am i the only one that notices him saying ex machina in every fucking video?

  • Spoiler alert, the sequel is bullshit, recicles a lot from this one to make it more relevant and messes the end of the book, which was actually pretty damn good, the mc dies and abra is damn black (no racism intended :p)

  • The true horror of this movie is the idea of being married to Jack Nicholson

  • These sins aren't sins tho. Your tongue is in your cheek!

  • I'm last

  • Is it bad that about half of the sins on here are actual reasons as to why I don't like this movie?

  • This man really watches every detail of every movie!

  • What a Bullshit

  • Danny wrote murder backwards because it was Danny's future self warning him and Wendy about Jack.

  • LOLS!!

  • All of this, even the furry costume sex stuff, is explained in the book. Is it any wonder King hated this movie?

  • They are so NOT twins. There is clearly one that is taller and older looking.

    • That's what I always thought. One looks larger.

  • Everything is wrong with videos about everything being wrong with "The Shining".
