    • [cooler] instrumental. xVSaito if it’s VW it may be the water pump impeller...

    • @Brizuh K 👍 💖🌎, ☮️

    • Black Opal yeah yuh low tire pressure and old tires is what is it

    • ** It could just be low or empty. Just pour pure, undilluted AF in, see howmuch it takes, then gauge the heat difference. It may take lots and be enough to make you happy.

    • I agree with you! I only wanted to start with simple and basic things before begging for something that costs more money.

  • I wonder if Scotty can make a video with his hands tied behind his back 🤔

  • Absolutely hate the new cars 👎

  • Had to get the front passenger seat replaced in my Hyundai, independent could replace the seat but they were unable to reset the air bag light, had to take it back to dealer.

  • Ill keep my 98 chevy and laugh at all the morons buying 40k cell phones with wheels

  • Your a mechanic? I thought you were a comedian doing Automotive skits for UZtorrent

  • I'll never own a car that has any control over my steering or brakes.

  • Even the auto audio market drastically changed since the radio in a vehicle today is integrated in the computer system.

  • Scotty, great videos! Here's a head scratcher for ya... 1996 Chevy Impala SS, the "Change oil light" won't reset. I can turn the light off and on manually with the TEC II plugged in, but the light comes back on when it's disconnected, and there is nowhere in the menu that allows for a manual reset. Have you ever seen this before, and do you know where the circuitry for that oil life system lives? There is seemingly little information online anywhere, and the dealer has no clue, so you're the last hope!!

  • For my 4Runner, Toyota charges I think $1,000 for their repair manual.

  • This is my last Scotty “Rambler” nonsense video I will ever waste my time watching.

  • bmw liked this video! :D

  • What this is going to do is drastically drop car prices. Or people will just lease it, beat it up like a rental, then dump them back on the dealer. Nobody is going to want a 3 year old car, beat to hell and going to break sooner.

  • Sir suggest some degreaser, plastic polish,or engine cleaner that doesn't damage any modern car engine bay electrical components like ecu, sensor, fusebox etc pls suggest each of one

  • outstanding, from PUerto Rico, sir YOU are BOSSSSSSSSS>>>>>

  • Cool

  • This is what they did to the individual TV repairman . To get the same schematics you needed to either pay 49.00 for a schematics. Now to replace a ic you need to cool down the ic in steps over time for the advanced solder different types they use. Expensive equipment to do correct.

  • I've had more problems with Ford's ABS systems than ANY GM products braking systems or even Chrysler corp. Ford's actually caused me to get into an accident on dry pavement at 30 mph figure that one out there Scotty!

  • I thought you were going to say cuz you're are rich beyond your wildest dreams.

  • His thumbnails crack me up

  • Car manufacturers and dealerships now make most of their money from repairing the cars. So they are incentivized to make unreliable cars. Does anybody else see a problem with that?

  • This was the reason decades ago for OBD II.......so that all scan tool cables could be plugged in to a "universal" connector...........I smell a big lawsuit by the aftermarket auto repair shops........

  • U ain't looking Kool with the glasses n I call shenanigans u r full of oil.

  • Its okay .this goofballs bias videos arent really needed anymore....

  • I was watching to find out why he can't be mechanic any more. But the drama queen stuff just go on and on. I gave up and never did find out why. Most people drive used cars, and most mechanics fixed used cars. So, who cares about warranty? BMWs have the most widely available info out there, given their popularity with poor young males. Get one of those, and you are good to go.

  • Cool stuff Scotty!

  • He's actually dead wrong about most of what he says here. I agree with him talking about "fair" price for information, however, we have a right to repair as independent shops. The fact is, if a car is under manufacturer warranty, why would you take it someplace to have it fixed where you'd have to pay? Most cars today come with a 3/36 and 5/60 for powertrain. Some come with 10/100, so indy shops won't see a model year until it is out of warranty most of the time. The ability to gain access to modules and other such information is absolutely there for indy shops.

  • Yeah watch it when they start offering long long drive train warranties Ford has in all their manufacturing plants make the cheapest parts possible and we don't care to give you 100,000 mile warranty worst car on the road I built em for 20 years.

  • Embarrassing that people are listening to this guy.. He's just milking UZtorrent... I dont get it

  • Right to repair.

  • When companies can buy politicians then citizens pay for that company to recover it back. Auto business is a big monopoly.

    • the car dealerships are on a boat heading for a iceberg, some of the guys I trained are telling me how bad it is in the shops, cutthroat is the last gasp

  • Harley Davidson is doing this crap and have for years. No one can buy the diagnostic tools or programs.

  • "Warranty"...LMAO!!

  • Because he was a mechanic in the 1960s and doesn't understand today's modern technology. Clearly.

  • Reminds me of that scene from Fight Club. Narrator: A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one. Woman on plane: Are there a lot of the kinds of accidents? Narrator: You wouldn't believe. Woman: Which car company do you work for? Narrator: A major one.

  • We should make them guarantee their products for 150000 miles parts and labor. I bet they could improve both quality and ease of service

  • There is a reason why the mitsubishi mirage has continually had positive upwards sales despite being a subcompact car and being cheaply made. Simply the fact that it is so cheap and easy to maintain without all the over complicated technology and voided warranties present. Most manufacturers don't realize that many people don't want, need, or use most of this extra technology and just want a affordable, basic car that they can fix or can take to their trusted mechanic. As cars become more expensive and ridiculous to maintain, expect another crash in the car market as more people keep their more reliable older cars or stick with simpler cars like the mirage.

  • I just took a snapchat of my VIN

  • John Deere is notorious for this as well. For years they have the only "programming" available.

  • Scotty u always are hating on Nissan like almost all ur videos u bash Nissan at least twice ..

  • Scott what you think a 2003 Acura TL type s bought 1 for 1k .

  • Just dont buy their crap

  • Your voice sounds like a clone of Ron Paul... must be an accent? I wasn't watching, just listening, and I was like wth is Ron Paul talking about fixing cars

  • The free-market won't allow this to happen too long I would hope. The arrogance of these car companies is just rediculous.

  • Why do I need all these so called safety items? I can back my car up just fine, I stay in my lane and know where I am going. Only the braking computer seems useful and worth the money. I personally think driving standards are dumbed down enough.

  • Pressure monitor in my Tahoe broke inside the tire and the dealer threatened to void the warranty on the car if I took it to a tire shop that wasn't them

  • Have you looked in the sky lately? CHEMTRAILS!!!!!!!! it,s passed what the yuygohugouygouyfiyufuyg YOU THINK!!!

  • My F-150 is got over 400,000 miles on it still going strong show me a new car can do that

  • Thank god

  • Its like europe just passed the right to repair , so manufacturers cant make info or parts proprietary anymore.

  • " Right to Repair " sounds like something Apple would do.

  • You have like an 90s looking room going on back with all that crap in the background LOL

  • And then they wonder why nobody wants to buy their s***

  • If manufacturers force you to go to their dealers for repairs they have even less incentive to build reliable products, they might even have an incentive to build less reliable products.

  • Totally with you Scott. But on the other hand, I have not had good luck with independent auto shops either, For sure there are good ones out there, but the couple of times I had to use them ... I got scammed. So now I only buy the most reliable Japanese cars that don't really need much repair.

  • Thanks for this info Scotty, I had no idea.

  • "Right to Repair" is one thing for most industries, I support it, and so would do so in automotive also. I have to think, though, that when it comes to cars and carmakers, and all the regulations and responsibility for, oh, idk, people's lives, that when it comes to safety issues they need to proceed with extreme caution and decide things based on zero tolerances for error. $1000 and yearly membership, at least, would help sort out, less honest or responsible than you, back yard 'mechanics' from making claims to get info. Anyway, $50 one time use is only 20 uses to make it $1000. If all the makers charged that up front to registered shops it is no different than hordes of businesses in many industries that have industry associated subscription costs for what they do, and a normal cost of doing business... which they deserve. They have to administer it all globally to different local laws, staff a call center, and deal with lawsuits independent mechanics will inevitably cost them. Its big, complex business and dealers are independent businesses, they deserve the support of the manufacturer. And the manufacturer wants to give them as little of their profit as they can get away with, creating repair biz for them helps facilitate that. Peace

  • This is why I drive a 98 Jeep wrangler

  • Flip cars .

  • This is why I bought an 88 bronco 2. So far I’ve never brought it to a mechanic and did everything myself with absolutely no problem. Speaking of which Scotty, what do you think of the Bronco 2?
